I know the holidays are here because:
1. Red and golden leaves swirl through the streets.
2. EGGNOG in the dairy section!
3.KFOG's Live from the Archives album release (this year is #14 and is fantabulous)
4. An abundance of good movies
5. Restaurants pack away their cafe tables
6. No parking. Anywhere.
7. The hills begin to hint at green beneath the gold
8. High school rival T-shirts everywhere (my favorites: the Monte Vista Mustangs' reads "San Ramon Valet: Park my Mustang" and San Ramon Valley's reads: For Sale, One Wrecked Mustang" --small town stuff like this makes me smile.)
9. Gluhwein/Vin Chaud: Why does hot wine taste THAT GOOD?
10. Really bad driving (not by me, naturally...)
11. Boots!
12. Coats!
13. Pumpkin-flavored everything
14. Crisp, dark evenings
On another note: check out Susan Enan's music. "Bring on the Wonder" is absolutely intoxicating. At least, I think so. "Wonder" is one of my favorite words and concepts.

i love holiday season. today i was in starbucks drinking tea and listening to their new christmas mix. lovely. everyone who came in started smiling.
