An ISLE is a small island, or a poetry-ish way of saying island. as in "this scept'red isle...this blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England." (Richard 2nd, II.1.40,50)
An AISLE is a walkway through a seating area, like a church sanctuary, a movie theater or a stadium.
One does not walk down an ISLE unless one is on a lovely tropical vacation, or a British trek.
