I have two versions of "Hey Girl" by O.A.R. (which I listed as one of my favorite songs in a post below): one on a KFOG Live From the Archives CD, and another on O.A.R.'s 2-CD set of concert recordings (given to me by my favorite Wisconsonite newly-wed. Wisconsonian? Wisconsonner?).
Both versions are "nicer" lyrically than the randy original, but the KFOG rendition is from the perspective of a wooer, and the concert version sounds like it's sung by The Great Date Hunter. I don't like feeling like prey. However, the lyrically aggressive version has a more contemplative guitar solo... so, whatever. The KFOG edition is the one I like. Just thought I'd clear that up. Now it's clear as mud.
